How To Configure Windows 10 Without Microsoft Account

Configure Windows 10 without Microsoft account: Windows 10 from the latest installations seems to require mandatory creation of a Microsoft account to proceed with the configuration of the computer, whether it is portable or not.

How to Configure Windows 10 without Microsoft account

In this guide we will see how to configure Windows 10 without the need for a Microsoft account using various “tricks” that will allow us to get back the famous “Offline Account” button which avoids (or avoided since it has apparently been removed) to register.

Let’s find out how to do it in a simple way.

Configure Windows 10 without Microsoft account

Until mid-2019 (approximately) it was possible to click on offline accounts during Windows configuration to avoid entering Microsoft credentials, an account that at company level can be useful for saving information but on a personal level it is rarely used.

How come Microsoft forces us to enter our data for the registration of an account or gives us the opportunity to choose whether to do it or not? We don’t know this, but we can tell you how to avoid it.

Here are the various methods we will see:

  • Disconnection from the network
  • Fake cell phone number
  • Disabling the network interface

Disconnection from the network

The quickest method is to disconnect the network cable from the PC or if you use WiFi to turn it off using the appropriate button on the computer keyboard.

Once this is done you will see the famous ACCOUNT OFFLINE  button appear on the bottom left  for creating a local account without having to register with email. Then proceed to the final steps for installation.

Fake cell phone number

By entering a false mobile number and proceeding with the configuration, you can proceed to create a local account in the following steps.

After finishing the installation in the account section you can still decide whether to create a Microsoft account in case you need it.

Disabling the network interface

If the above methods for various reasons do not work or you cannot use them, then you can directly disable the network interface, to do it:

  • During the installation press: MAIUSC + F10
  • To type: control netconnections
  • Right click on the network interface used
  • Click on: disabilita

Now go back to the installation screen and you can create an offline account.

I believe that above information will help you to configure windows 10 without microsoft account.
