YouTube offers quite simple uploads for your videos, but it is true that you will have to adapt to some formats, especially in terms of the type of video file. Specifically, these are the formats supported by the platform:

  • .MOV
  • .MPEG-1
  • .MPEG-2
  • .MPEG4
  • .MP4
  • .MPG
  • .AVI
  • .WMV
  • .MPEGPS
  • .FLV
  • 3GPP
  • WebM
  • DNxHR
  • ProRes
  • CineForm
  • HEVC (h265)

In case it is different, you should use your video editor to save it in any of the above mentioned. You must also take into account that at most, you can upload videos of up to 15 minutes in length, having to verify your YouTube account if the video is longer.

Upload your video to YouTube

From the computer

  1. Just go to YouTubeStudio and log in with your Gmail account.
  2. Click on create> upload videos, next to your profile image.
  3. Find the video on your PC and wait for it to finish uploading.
  4. It will allow you to upload up to 15 videos at the same time.

From Android

  1. Open the YouTube app on your mobile.
  2. Go to Create> Upload Video.
  3. Fill in the details of the video and click next.
  4. Choose if you want your video to be for people over 18 or suitable for all audiences.
  5. Click on upload when you are done.

From iOS

  1. Go to Create> Upload Video.
  2. Look for it in the gallery and as before, add the details of the video.
  3. You can also choose if it is a video for over 18 years or not.
  4. Finish by clicking on upload.
