Instagram takes the lead
Bitdefender Antivirus’s research reveals that Instagram is the most common platform for cyber bullying with 40 percent. The target group is identified as young people between the ages of 14 and 16 years, while half of the participants stated that they also had bullying friends.
In Kik, young people between the ages of 14 and 16 are exposed to cyber bullying, while children in the ages of 12 to 14 are exposed to Facebook, Whatsapp and Pinterest.

1 – Keep your profiles private to prevent unwanted comments and messages from people you don’t know.
2 – Do not share photos with hashtags like #like4like, #followme, #tbt, #followforfollow #instagood, #instadaily #picoftheday, or #tagforlikes that can attract more attention to get likes or comments
3 – When you encounter a cyber bully targeting you or someone else, block that person and report them.
4 – Do not respond to any online or offline messages from cyber bullies.
5 – Do not pass on any bullying message sent to you to avoid bullying.
6 – Use award-winning antivirus software against spyware that will allow cyber-bullies to gain unauthorized access to your systems.
7 – If such a problem occurs despite the measures, support your children with love and morale and spend more time together. Give them as much self-confidence as possible and minimize the likelihood that they will be affected by such cases on the Internet.
