Steps to Disable News and Interests Widget in Window 10
- Open Windows Search and type Edit Group Policy, then hit Enter. The Local Group Policy Editor will open.
- From the side navigation pane, go to Computer Configuration> Administrative Templates> Windows Components> News and Interests.
- Click the Enable News & Interests setting on the taskbar, then click Change Policy Setting.
- In the management window that opens, click on Disabled, then on Apply and OK.
Once the last step is completed, the News and interests will therefore be completely deactivated. To restore the functionality, just follow the previous steps and click on Enabled, instead of Disabled.
