How To Rotate Screen Windows 10
To rotate the screen of your computer under Windows, there are several methods. You can use the display settings of your PC, those of your graphics card or simply go through a keyboard shortcut. In this tutorial, we will explain step by step these three techniques.
Keyboard shortcut
There is a keyboard shortcut to rotate your screen, but it only works on some computers.
Try: Ctrl + Alt + up / down arrow
If this keyboard shortcut has no effect, then right click on your desktop and read on.
Display settings
On Windows 10, right-click your desktop and select Display Settings. There you will find several display options: Portrait, Landscape, Portrait (flipped) and Landscape (flipped).
On Windows 7 or 8, also right-click on the desktop and select Screen resolution.
You will see a graphic schematizing the display of your screen, in the Orientation tab you can choose between Landscape and Portrait.
Intel Graphics Chip
If your laptop or PC has an Intel graphics card, rotating your screen display can be accomplished in two ways.
After right-clicking on your desktop, you can choose either Graphics Properties or Graphics Options. In both cases, you will find a Rotation tab of the screen.
NVIDIA
If you have an Nvidia graphics card, when you right-click on the desktop, select the NVIDIA Control Panel option (not Screen Resolution).
In the left menu, choose Rotate View. If a message indicates that it is not possible to rotate the screen, then click on the link and uncheck the Enable Stereoscopic 3D option.
Return to Rotate display and select the display that suits you.
AMD graphics
For computers that work with an AMD graphics card, right-click on your desktop and select Catalyst Control Center.
The AMD menu varies slightly depending on the age of your computer, but you will find the display options in the left bar. On our computer, they were in the Common Viewing Tasks tab.
