As a TV buff, probably the hardest thing I have to do is go through an existential crisis whenever I finish a good TV show and then wait for its next season. But the TV industry is so saturated that it can get challenging to find such shows.

Top TV Shows to Binge-Watch Right Now

This is where I come in with a curated list of my favorite shows nowadays. I’ve tried to keep the list balanced with each pick coming from a different genre. While any repetition of genres is regretted, there is a good reason for every show mentioned below to be on this list.

Before we start, it is essential that you get yourself the necessary tool to stream or watch these TV shows either on the streaming services or cable TV.

In this regard, we suggest you to sign up with Cox bundles since it provides you superfast connectivity and optimal cable TV experience.

Having said that, here are our top picks of TV shows you can binge-watch right now.

1. Dave

Starting the list with a banger, Dave is based on the life of the legendary hip-hop artist David Burda.k.a Lil Dicky. The artist became popular after the video release of his super-hit song “Ex-boyfriend,” and has since collaborated with major artists around the world. The TV show “Dave” is inspired by true events surrounding the artist’s life and his rise to fame.

While some elements have been fictionalized for cinematic purposes, it’s one of the best music comedy shows you can watch nowadays.

Naturally, Dave is the star and also the co-creator of this show and you can feel the artistic touch when you watch it.

It’s bold, it’s raw, it’s borderline offensive sometimes, it touches on a few topics that need a lot of courage to make fun of, it’s a success story, it’s about love and loss, it’s everything you want it to be.

All three seasons of the show are now available to stream on Amazon Prime, Disney + Hotstar, and Hulu.

2. Warrior

This action-crime drama revolves around the turf wars between different gangs in San Francisco. The show’s protagonist Andrew Koji is a man of iron who’s never looking for a fight but a man’s gotta do what he’s gotta do to protect the people he loves or a gang, we don’t judge.

There’s a political aspect to this drama as well, and we see a tussle between the Americans and Chinese immigrants. This show came as a surprise to me and I couldn’t have asked for anything more.

Everything from storyline to graphics, action sequences, cinematography, and acting is on par with the best in the industry. The third season of this show has almost finished airing and you can watch all three seasons on Netflix and Amazon Prime.

3. The Bear

Drawn by Jeremy Allen White who you might know from Shameless, I went with fairly high expectations, and boy, I wasn’t disappointed. Carmen or Carmy, played by Jeremy Allen White is the glue that’s keeping everything from falling apart.

In his prime, Carmy used to be one of the best chefs in the world and a renowned name in fine dining, but now he has to return to his family’s restaurant after his brother’s death.

You’d be surprised at how accurately the whole food in the restaurant theme is presented. It’s far from the Hollywood fantasy that comes into your mind, this is the real deal.

The Bear is about a struggle most of us have to go through when we enter adult life and it can get overwhelming at times, but the good parts in-between make up for all the hurt and loss.

4. The Lincoln Lawyer

Based on the bestselling novel by Michael Connelly, The Lincoln Lawyer is the story of a struggling lawyer Mickey Haller. Things take a turn when a friend of his, is murdered and leaves all his cases to Mickey. Because of his affinity for Lincoln cars, he only travels in a Lincoln, hence the show’s name.

Although some visual choices in the show may seem a bit questionable at times, it’s an enjoyable watch perfect for weekend binges.

It’s not strictly a detective story per se like True Detective, but it carries a good punch of action and thrill. The second season of the show has finished airing and you can catch both seasons on Netflix.

Conclusion

That’s a wrap on some of the best TV shows and my personal favorites you should binge-watch right now. From action-crime to thrillers, comedy, and music, there is something for everyone to like.

If you already have a streaming subscription, go checkout these shows and see how you like them. Happy watching.
