Share Videos on Zoom: Zoom represents today one of the most used services for business videoconferencing or even, more simply, for conversations between friends and family. On any occasion, however, it may happen that you have toshare the screen of the device in use with the interlocutor.
Fortunately, Zoom allows you to do this from both a computer and a mobile device. For this reason, today we are going to see just how to do it.
How to Share Videos on Zoom on Computer
To share your screen using Zoom on your computer, you will obviously need to start a conversation first.
- Launch Zoom on your computer and log in with your credentials
- Click on“New meeting”to start a new conversation
- Add new users to the videoconference by clicking on“Participants”and then on“Invite”
- Select the desired contacts or copy the link to share through other platforms
At this point the video chat will be started and it will be possible to share the screen of your PC.
- Click the“Screen Sharing” itemin the chat screen
- Select one of the windows open on your computer (the one to share of course)
- Choose“Basic”in the options at the top of the new screen
- Click again on the preview of the window to share
The video will start immediately and can be improved by adding various options such as the microphone audio or that output from the computer itself.
All additional features will be shown on the“You are sharing your screen” screen. Everything can then be stopped by simply clicking on“Stop sharing”at the top.
Share Zoom video on mobile
By “mobile” we obviously mean any smartphone or tablet (Android or iOS) compatible with Zoom. So first, let’s see how to log in on one of the aforementioned devices.
- Open the Zoom app on your smartphone or tablet and log in with your credentials
- Click on“New meeting”and then on“Start a meeting”to start a new conversation
- Add new users to the videoconference by clicking on“Participants”and then on“Invite”
- Select the desired contacts or copy the link to share through other platforms
Once the preliminary operation is complete, it will then be possible to start sharing the video.
- Click on“Share”or“Share content” (bottom on smartphone and top right on a tablet)
- On Android
- Choose the item“Screen”
- Continue with“Start transmission”
- Then Activate the toggle to the right of “Allow viewing over other apps”
- On iOS
- Choose the item“Screen”
- Choose “Zoom” and then with“Start transmission”
At this point, all you need to do is go to the app screen to share and start it with the “Play” button. To stop sharing the screen on Android, click on the arrow icon at the bottom left and then on“Stop sharing”, or, on iOS, the red button in the status bar.
