The 5 Best Screen Recorder Apps for Android
If you want to keep things simple, you can install a simple Android screen recorder on your device. Just launch the app, tap Save, switch tasks to the app or game you want to record, and play.
After some tests and research, we have selected the five best screen recorder apps for Android:
- Google Play Games
- Screen recorder
- AZ Screen Recorder
- Mobizen Screen Recorder
- AirDroid
However, you have other options to do it. For example, the manufacturer of your phone may have included a screen recording application with your device. If you are using a custom Android ROM, you may also have a screen recorder.
In addition, you can also record your device screen using the Android SDK. Go to the end of the list to find out how it works.
1. How to register with Android on Google Play?
The first way to register games on Android is to use Google Play Games. This allows you to record any title with the integration of Google Play Games.
First, open the Play Games hub on your device, then go to My Games. Scroll left and right to find the desired game, then press to select it. In the upper right corner of the view, you should see a camera icon. Tap this to start recording.
You will have two options for video quality: 720P HD and 480P SD . You should also see how much HD recording time remains, depending on the storage of your phone.
To continue, select a quality setting, then start . The game will open with a set of screen recording controls. You can drag them around the screen by holding the game icon (or a picture of the camera). You will also see a microphone icon, a camera icon and a recording button. Tap the first two to enable / disable. The button recording , once tapped, will have three seconds to record.
Once you press Stop , the video will be saved to your device. You can edit or download it directly on YouTube.
Interestingly, you are not limited to games. If the screen recording buttons are visible, you can open an application and save it as well.

2. Register your Android screen with Screen Recorder
Formerly known as EZ Screen Recorder, this intuitive app is a one-click Android screen recording tool. Whether you are recording games or applications, it offers unlimited recording time, an image editor and a video cutting tool. You can even stream live from the app and add the view from your phone’s camera.
You control the Android screen recording via the floating controls, which you can reposition anywhere on the screen.
The app allows you to stream videos to YouTube, Facebook, Twitch and others. In the meantime, if you wish, you can adjust the rate, bit rate, video quality and compression.

You can adjust the resolution of your recordings, as well as set the frame rate, bit rate and orientation. There is also the possibility of recording in time-lapse mode. Again, you start and control the recordings using the floating floating menu commands. You can even record audio from your phone and include the front camera view.
If necessary, you can edit records in the application. AZ then lets you share them easily via your favorite social network or upload them to YouTube.

Claiming to be “the easiest and most convenient screen recorder,” Mobizen offers the tools you need to record games and applications on the fly.
Using the mandatory floating menu, Mobizen allows you to save your Android screen at a resolution of up to 1440p, a resolution of 2K. The maximum number of frames per second is 60, which allows you to make superb high quality recordings. The recordings can include your reaction (via the facecam camera, the front camera of your phone) and any sound coming from the microphone of your phone.
You can also use a custom watermark for your videos, which allows you to retain ownership and develop your personal brand. Note, however, that you will have to pay to unlock the default watermark.

5. AirDroid
AirDroid may not be the first application that comes to mind when you save your Android device screen. However, this screen mirroring tool can be used to record a video of your Android activity on your PC.
For this to work, you will need the desktop application rather than the web interface.
Just install the Android app and desktop app and create an account. Then, synchronize your phone with your computer using the application. In the desktop application, select AirMirror> Display Only Mode and you will see the camera icon. Click on it to start recording, then start using your phone as expected.
The recordings are saved on your PC. See the AirDroid Settings screen for the exact location. You will notice that there is no “facecam” or editing tools integrated with this solution. Rather, they are existing users of AirDroid, or anyone who does not need the functionality of a typical Android screen recorder.
If AirDroid does not work for your needs, other Android screen mirroring applications are available. They can also offer optional screen recording.

Make a screen recording using the Android SDK
Screen recording applications can be a problem for some. The floating controller is often difficult to use with larger fingers, for example. This could also appear in the final video – something that you might find undesirable.
Thus, if an application does not suit you, you can use the Android SDK (Software Development Kit) and the Android Debugging Bridge (ADB). With this run on your computer, you can save your Android screen without a dedicated application.
The Android SDK is compatible with Android 4.4 and later. Start by installing it from the Android Studio Developer Tools page .
