What is Nintendo Direct?
Nintendo Direct is the communication medium of the legendary Japanese game company with the press and fans. That is to say to make news announcements for upcoming games like Pokemon Let’s Go! Pikachu and Eevee, and more recently, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.
Ads may vary, from new gameplay features to new revelations of accessories and even release date ads. Previously, Nintendo used its Direct presentations to unveil the Nintendo Switch, as well as many of its best Nintendo Switch games and the best 3DS games.
When is the next Nintendo Direct?
While some Direct presentations offer a variety of ads from multiple games, some Nintendo Direct livestreams are much more specific.
Nintendo has confirmed that this week’s announcement will be on the theme of Super Smash Bros Ultimate, and with the release in a few months, it is likely that we would see some gameplay during the stream.
Nintendo Direct Live will air on August 8, 2018 at 3:00 pm (New York time), although, unlike previous feeds, Nintendo has not confirmed the length of the feed. We could have a treat!
How to watch Nintendo Direct live
There is no point in pointing out how to watch Nintendo Live’s live presentation because we have integrated the livestream at the top of this page, so come back on Wednesday afternoon and enjoy the announcement.
If you want to watch it on other platforms, Nintendo has confirmed that the Nintendo Direct feed will also be available through the Nintendo Direct website, the Nintendo UK YouTube channel and the Super Smash Bros. Facebook page.
