Respond from a notification (or from your smartwatch)
Currently, it is possible to read and respond to the messages we receive on the app throughnotificationsin the mobile drop-down menu, without having to open the app.
Smartphones with versions equal to or greater than Android Nougat and iOS 9 offer this functionality to users.
This is the easiest way to send messages on WhatsApp without appearing online. Just open thedrop-down menu in the notifications, click on the ‘Reply’ button or select and hold the notification, depending on the cell phone you are using, and type your message.
In this way, your reply will be sent and you will continue to appear offline to all contacts, including the person returned.
The process is the same for those using Android Wear Smartwatch, which also allows the user to check the entire exchange of messages in offline mode.
Respond offline
If you have deleted notifications or need to reply to an older message, you can also simply turn off your internet and go offline onWhatsApp.
To do this, just disable the connections with Wi-Fi and the mobile network on your smartphone, or activate airplane mode, open the application and open the message you want to reply – including, it is a good time to return other contacts, already that it won’t go online anyway.
After writing and sending your reply, close WhatsApp and reconnect to the Internet (reactivate the Wi-Fi connection and the mobile network, or turn off airplane mode). The application will deliver the messages and you will continue to appear offline.
